FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

The Federal Government Affairs Committee comprises APTA Arizona Chapter members who have agreed to serve as key contacts for a member of Congress. Key Contacts are vital in establishing valuable relationships with legislators to increase awareness of the issues facing the physical therapy profession. When needed, Key Contacts request Chapter members in their Districts to contact their Representatives or Senators to ask them for support of APTA's public policy priorities. 

APTA Arizona is proud to sponsor student physical therapists and student physical therapist assistants from each accredited program in Arizona to attend APTA Capitol Hill Day in Washington, D.C. Please contact our Federal Affairs Liaison, Brian Schmitz if you are interested in participating. 

APTA Arizona's Federal Government Affairs Committee meetings are held periodically throughout the year via video conferencing.
