Scholarship Awarded by APTA Arizona
The APTA Arizona has
established a scholarship fund to award financial support to selected PT
and PTA students
currently enrolled in programs within the geographical
boundaries of the State of AZ.
Seven Scholarships for PT Students and Four Scholarships for PTA Students
The deadline to turn the Application in is August 15th.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must be in their final year of an Arizona PT or PTA program and be a student member of the APTA.
The completed applications must be submitted on or before 5:00 p.m. on August 15th.
The Recipient will be notified on the week of September 15th. Scholarships will be awarded, and recipients will be notified by email.
You must be an APTA Member to apply.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit the following in a single PDF or word document to christa@aptaaz.org.
The application window is March 1, 2026, to 11:59 pm on August 15, 2026.
A. Unofficial transcript from their PT/PTA program (showing their GPA).
B. Personal Essay (not to exceed 300 words)
In 300 words or fewer, please address your professional career goals following graduation.
Specifically, how do you plan to make a positive impact on our profession that aligns with the vision of APTA
(Transforming society by optimizing movement to improve human experience)?
The essay will be graded on clarity, grammar/punctuation, and content.
C. Professional and academic experience and/or educational record/Extracurricular activities
In 300 words or fewer, please address your personal experiences in one or more of the following categories and
how these experiences have shaped you as a health professional during your time spent as a P.T.A. or P.T. student.
The essay will be graded on clarity, grammar, and punctuation, as well as content (more points will be awarded to applicants who have
experience and/or made contributions to their community and/or profession in multiple categories).
Leadership, Service, Scholarship & Academic Achievement
D. Note: You may provide a resume, but it is not required and will not be considered a substitute for the essay.
